CRIME WRAP: 17-year-old taken to court over unlicensed driving

Woman slapped with speeding ticket

A WOMAN who was travelling well over the speed limit on a southwest highway has been slapped with an infringement notice.

Police intercepted a 46-year-old Chinchilla woman on the Balonne Highway, Cunnamulla, allegedly travelling 125 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on November 6.

She was issued with a speeding infringement notice for $444 and was given four demerit points.

Juvenile caught driving unlicensed

A TEENAGER who was caught allegedly driving without a licence has earned herself a date in court.

Police found a 17-year-old Cunnamulla girl driving a red Subaru Liberty travelling along Alice Street, Cunnamulla at 4.50pm on November 9.

Police conducted checks which allegedly revealed the driver did not hold a driver’s licence.

The girl was charged for driving unlicensed and is set to appear at the Cunnamulla Children’s Court at a later date.

The vehicle was then immobilised for 90 days due to the driver’s previous type two traffic offences.

Disqualified driver busted

A MAN who was driving down Wicks Street was pulled over by the police and it was found that his licence had allegedly been disqualified.

Police intercepted the 35-year-old Cunnamulla man driving a grey Holden Calais at about 3.50pm on November 12.

He was charged with driving while disqualified and is set to appear at the Cunnamulla Magistrates Court on November 30.
