A 41-YEAR-old man will appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court after being charged with stealing from a St George business.
Police allege between July 31 and August 5, entry was gained into a yard and a roll of insulated copper wire was stolen.
Police are still investigating the matter.
Teen slapped $1245 fine
POLICE issued an Infringement Notice to a 19-year-old St George man after he was allegedly intercepted travelling 148 km per hour in a 100 km per hour zone on the Balonne Highway.
The driver was slapped with a $1245 fine and will also have his licensed suspended.
Police are reminding the community to watch their speed while travelling on southwest roads.
“Excessive speed can kill,” Roma Patrol Group inspector Dan Gallager said.
