Horses jump-start the show

Riders took to the saddle for the horse section of the Wallumbilla Show on Saturday.

The schedule catered to all ages and abilities, ranging from show horse displays, where judges hunted find the shaggiest pony, to stock horse events and open showjumping.

There was great competition in the ring for the hack, hunter and showjumping classes, with strong entries recorded.

Competitors came from far and wide, travelling from New South Wales, Victoria and North Queensland to compete against the local riders.

Emily Scrivener, from Walcha, rode into first place for the open six bar jump on her horse Infinity, the only one to successfully navigate the course.

Wallumbilla resident Sam Senescall won the supreme local hack championship on L.P Heart of Gold.

Brock Everingham won the Grand Prix showjump event on Mr Woodward.
