From Roma to Tamworth: young busker forges ahead
AT JUST 10 years old, Lilly Goller is forging ahead in her musical career, with the accolades to prove it.
The young busker recently took to the streets in Tamworth as part of the Country Music Roundup to show off her vocal abilities, where she was voted first in the coveted Battle of the Buskers.
"This was the fourth time I've been to Tamworth and while I was busking I got to sing True Blue and Old Town Road," she said.
"There were about 12 people busking and 108 voters - 48 of them voted for me."
Earlier this year, Lilly attended a songwriting workshop with Allan Casswell in Bundaberg, which she hopes will help her write her own songs one day. In the meantime, she's looking forward to getting on stage for five performances at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Lilly will open a concert at the Roma RSL next month.
